What you should know about Ellington Montessori School
Deborah L. Renwick founded Ellington Montessori School in July 1990. By the fall of 1992, over several years, the first elementary class was opened and the school eventually expanded, to include classes up to the 8th grade. By the end of the first year enrolment was up to 32 children and expansion was on the horizon. Ms. Renwick opened the school with the intent of operating a Primary program (3 to 6 year olds), accommodating 20 students. The school began as a corporation and continues as such to date. Ellington Montessori School maintained a middle school program for four years.Currently, the school has three classrooms: a Casa class (3 to 6 year olds), a lower elementary (6 to 9 year olds) and an upper elementary (9 to 12 year olds).
